# Streamlining Global Talent Relocation
With teams spread across the world and talent acquisition extending into emerging tech hubs, INNEX GmbH is no stranger to international mobility. When it came to relocating talent from Sri Lanka to Germany, they faced more than just timezone differences, they faced logistical and operational headaches.
We spoke to **Melanie Wiehl** (HR Business Partner), **Johannes Knust** (Manager Technical Consulting & Development), and **Sabrina Backhaus** (Human & resource Manager) to learn more about how Localyze helped transform their Global Mobility experience into a streamlined, stress-free process.
## Transformation of Global Mobility Processes with Localyze
INNEX GmbH is a fast-growing IT consultancy company at the intersection of tech and innovation, with a people-first culture and a growing need for international talent. With international hiring on the rise and multiple stakeholders involved in global mobility, the team needed a reliable solution to manage the entire mobility process, from immigration and visas to housing, family support and settling-in support, without losing valuable time and ensuring a smooth experience for their talents.
Prior to using Localyze, INNEX managed relocations manually, often resulting in delays when the People team was unavailable. Visa appointments and Sri Lanka were unpredictable, communication was scattered across emails, and paperwork created constant bottlenecks.
## The challenge
The mobility process was heavily dependent on manual workflows. "*If someone was out of office, we had to wait. There was no visibility and too much back-and-forth*" shared Johannes Knust.
Key challenges included:

The People & Culture Team needed a clear, self-serve solution to help them and their relocating employees stay informed and aligned without overburdening internal resources.

"transcript" : "I'm Reece Procter, and I work at Personio where I'm the team lead for Global Mobility. We have offices in Germany, Amsterdam, Ireland, the UK, Spain, and the USA now, and we've been relocating people to all of those locations. So, we don't have the local expertise in-house to deal with visa and immigration challenges, particularly in all of our locations. Having partners and relationship managers in each of those countries who are experts and familiar with the processes is hugely important for us. It means that we know we have a trusted partner who will support the individual through the paperwork and through the tough part of the process, which is getting the right visa. And we can focus on the wider experience for the employees as well. So, it allows us to do that, and it allows us to do it at scale as well because we've been growing very rapidly, and we don't have the capacity to manage all of the cases that we look after. We chose Localyze as a partner because they have both the technology and a human being on the other side of the technology to provide the experience that we want for our employees. Prior to partnering with Localyze, we had employees who were not comfortable with their visa and immigration experience. They were distracted, so they had obligations outside of the workplace that were distracting them. They weren't comfortable with their housing, with the visa and immigration paperwork. But since investing in the relationship, we have employees who are coming and landing in a country far more comfortable, far more settled, far more sure about what's going on in the process, which means they're able to get settled in the office quickly and get focused on their job more quickly, making them more efficient. When we used a previous provider, our satisfaction score was somewhere around 44% for employee satisfaction for those who had relocated. It's now consistently over 90% on a quarterly basis and has been growing, so that's a huge improvement as well. As we've partnered in different locations and come to agreements with understanding how visas and immigration work, we've got our hiring timelines down. So we've really reduced the timelines to get those visas in different locations. What would have taken 3 months or 4 months before is now taking us 1 or 2 months. That has had a massive impact on the business as well and getting the right people in as quickly as possible. It's great to pull metrics and data off to see exactly where people are in the timeline. It helps us to track both at scale what we've achieved as a Global Mobility team but also drill down into any specific case and see exactly where we are in the process so we have an overview of what's going on in our workload. As we've opened up new offices, we've partnered with Localyze in new locations because we know we can trust in the relationship. We know that they have the expertise. We're comfortable using the platform. We know what is going to involve for the employees so we know we can offer a similar experience regardless of where somebody's moving. So as we've expanded and grown into new locations, it's great to have that partnership behind us.",
